Phase III

1. The initial expected date for the application result is 15 days. We can check the status of the application online or in the nearest JPJ office. 

I have checked the status of application online. It appeared that the result comes out at five days later from the date I applied online.

1. Go to JPJ Main website
http://www.jpj.gov.my/ms/utama
(The webpage is in Malay Language).

2. Scroll down to the part of "Transaksi Dalam Talian" (Online Transaction)

3. Click "Senarai Keseluruhan Transaksi Dalam Talian" (List of All Online Transaction)

4. You will find what you need in session "Lesen Memandu Saya", category 

"4. Rayuan Lesen Memandu Tamat Tempoh, Permohonan dan semakan keputusan rayuan bagi lesen tamat tempoh." (Appeal For Renewal of Expired Driving 

5. Click on the end of the category 4 "Mula" (Start)

6. Then Continue first five steps of Phase II in 10 Steps to Appeal for Renewal Expired Malaysia Driving Licence:

6.1. Choose your category - Kategori ID* :

6.2. Choose License Type - Jenis Lesen* :

6.3. Type your Identity Number - No. ID* :

6.4. Type the security code shown in the box Kod Sekuriti* :
6.5. Click button "Semak" (Check), or click button "Set Semula" (Reset).

* All four fields are compulsory to be filled in.

7. In "Hasil Carian" - 'Search Result', you will find your name displayed there. Click on the right button "Cetak" - 'Print' to view your appeal result. Save and Print your approval letter. You are given only 60 days from the date of approval to register for a "Lesen Belajar Memandu" - License Driving Learning (LDL). 

8. Beware that after click on "Cetak" - 'Print' button, your record of approval will be automatically deleted from the system. If you wish to check your status of approval again, there will be "Rekod pemilik tidak wujud" - 'Record of owner not exist.'

The summary of content of Approval Letter:

For appealing of license renewal after expiration more than 3 years, the candidate is EXCLUDED From :

i. attending and acquiring Certificate of Attending Course KPP / KPP01 (To learn of traffic law)

ii. attending writing test of first session (Undang-Undang Jalan Raya) - Road / Traffic Law

iii. attending theory and practical Course (6 Hours) on JPJ2B (for Lorry)

iv. attending Practical Module (8 Hours) and Training for Adaptation Test (Pre Test, 2 Hours) / Module Driving Safety (KKP03) and Assessment Before Test (Pre-Test "Pra Ujian", 30 minutes)

Nevertheless, the candidate are obligated to take Practical Road / Traffic Test Session II and Session III.

Thus the candidate has to refer this with the nearest Driving License Section of the Road Transport Department Malaysia to schedule an appointment for the practical test.

The practical test session will be conducted by any choosen (by candidate) premise Driving Institute.

Candidate will have to apply for a new Lesen Belajar Memandu - License Driving Learning (LDL)

within 60 days of dated approval letter.

ii. Original Identity Card (Citizen Card) / Original Passport and Copy

iii. Two (2) pieces of color photos (head to shoulder) size 25mm x 32mm
